In Other Ass News...

Yesterday was an exciting day. As if awarding me the Shine a Light CD wasn’t enough, dear blogger, Dingo, bestowed a Kick Ass Blogger Award upon me. I was so busy at work, I was barely able to bask in the glow of celebrity—but here I am today, wearing sunglasses, throwing diamonds around while I pet my miniature dog and tell my coworkers to pick up documents off the printer for me. (Or sit in my corner-office cubicle and eat apple slices from a Tupperware container…)

As part of receiving the award, I am supposed to pay it forward by adding 5 other bloggers to the Kick Ass list. Therefore, it is my pleasure to tell Bretthead of Dark, Stormy Loopy, GeekHiker of The (Single) GeekHiker, Hannah of Naked Banana, Michael C of The Wonderful World of Nothing, and Mandy of You’ve Got to be Kidding Me that I think they kick ass.

To join the list of winners, you must go to Mammadawg.com and add your name to the Kick Ass queue. Then:

• Choose 5 bloggers that you feel are "Kick Ass Bloggers."
• Let them know in your post or via email, twitter or blog comments that they've received an award.
• Share the love and link back to both the person who awarded you and back to www.mammadawg.com.

On another kickass note: Yesterday, Mr. Wonderful and I had a brief conversation over IM about planning a trip to Italy and Greece in April for our birthdays. Have any of you been to Italy or Greece? I am DYING to go. Eat, Pray, Love threw me over the edge of Italy yearning. And ya know, while we’re there, I’m sure we can do some great eloping. I mean, sightseeing. Sheesh all the kickassness has gone to my head…

Have a great weekend everyone! Oh and in my heart of blog hearts, I think all of you kick major ass.

Ah! OF COURSE I promote going to Greece and Italy since I just got back. It was incredible, especially the Greek islands. Incredible.

Jane - Oh yes! I will have to get tips from you if we go!!! How could I forget after the beautiful pics you posted. I'm crossing my fingers it all works out.

Italy?? So jealous. Maybe I'll give you a pair of my pants to wear there and we can start our own traveling pants sisterhood.

BTW- One of my BFF's mom lives in Italy so if you need a hook up, let me know.

Ooohh! Don't you need witnesses for your wedding, I mean, sightseeing? I think coconutdiaries and I should come along just to make sure everything is in order.

Coconut - Oh my gosh I went to see Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants last night! I cried through like half of it! We can totally supe up a pair of jeans and take turns wearing them around the world.

Laura - That's right! You guys took that awesome cruise. By the way, Mr. W and I were IMing last night and he said, "what's this about eloping I read on your blog?" I almost died! Usually he only reads when I tell him to!

Dingo - You can totally be a witness. Sheesh - you could even preside over the wedding if you wanted! You were practically a judge once!

I told you Mr. W reads your blog other times!!! He's not dumb - of course he wants to see what you're telling the world. If anyone is going on this trip to be a witness, it's me. Sorry Dingo, I know you're family and all, but Big Sis takes precedence. Mom, we'll send pictures.

Oh, great, as if I'm not already backed up on posts I have to write. ;)

J/K! Thank you for the honor that made me blush.

I've been obsessing lately about going to Italy, especially the idea of hiking the Dolomites, but have not yet been...

I agree with Big Sis - you better not post anything that Mr. W is not supposed to read - I am sure he is a regular!! And he reads just to see my shocking comments!
Elope? Sounds good to me-thats right send the photos - I'll buy the album!

Well, isn't this post full of good spirits. Hopefully, your weekend has been full of kick ass, too.

Hey thanks! I think you're pretty Kick Ass too!

Wow, that was awkward said...

I should disappear more often! Thanks Mel! Usually when my name is mentioned within ass talk it is cuz I was being an asshole. Nice change of pace.

Do I have to keep working or will this honor carry me now?

Thank you sooooo much!! How am I going to just name 5 kick assers?

I really need to start reading blogs, like yours, on the weekends instead of watching those damn Olympic Games. It's not like they happen every 8 years or something.

Had I blowm off the Olympics and just waited another measley 4 years, I could have spent my entire weekend making everyone refer to me as 'hey kick ass' or 'yo, MC kick ass.' Ok, maybe not that last one..

Thanks again sooo much!

Sister - Do you think we could just drug mom and have a real wedding over there?

GeekHiker - I think Italy might be THE perfect way to celebrate being 35!! You're welcome for the award - you deserve it!

Nilsa - Thanks! I'm just paying Dingo's good juju forward.

Mandy - Thanks! No you. No YOU. YOU!

Wow TWA - Really? I would've guessed it was more like "damn your ass stinks!" Asshole just doesn't seem appropriate...even with that middle finger pic still up on your site...

Michael - I'm pretty sure you can still tell people to call you MC Kick Ass. In fact, I'd like you to make an announcement about that tomorrow at work.

Ok, I'm going to tell everyone as soon as I type this, but I'm holding you responsible, 'k??
